First introduced in 1904, the Panel Vase originally had blank panels, enabling designers to create an array of decorations for them. This also made it possible to use the vases as crest ware.
The Panel Vase was re-invented in the 1920's in order to satisfy demand from the United States, for Shamrock pieces.
It re-surfaced again in 2007 during Belleek's 150th Anniversary celebrations, however, 2008 sees the introduction of the 6 inch version, making it possible for collectors to create a set.
